Socialized medicine: the Canadian experience | http://ping.fm/OGVre A problem that I've observed over 20 years of helping people in many countries who are living with kidney cancer is that in nearly all countries with single-payer healthcare, the standard of care pales by comparison to that available to patients in the USA. We should tread with caution, in my opinion. Those with rare conditions (such as renal cancers) that are difficult and expensive to treat could be put at great risk.
